1. Who We Are

This app is directed to children under the age of 13 and is subject to the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States and applicable children's privacy laws in other jurisdictions.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect any of the following from children:

• Names, email addresses, or contact information
• Profile photos or any user-generated content
• Location data
• Social network information
• Precise identifiers that could be used to contact a child

We do not display third-party advertisements. We do not allow in-app purchases by children without parental involvement through Apple's purchase authorization system.

3. Information We Do Collect

To improve the app experience, we collect limited, anonymous usage data:

• Anonymous analytics events: Which stories and songs are opened, general navigation patterns, and app performance metrics. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify any individual user.
• Crash reports: Technical information about errors or crashes to help us fix bugs.
• Subscription status: Managed entirely by Apple's App Store. We receive only the entitlement status (active/inactive) — no payment details are ever shared with us.

All analytics are processed in compliance with COPPA. We configure our analytics tools to operate in a child-directed mode that disables personal data collection and behavioral advertising.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each configured for child privacy compliance:

• PostHog – Anonymous product analytics. No personal data is transmitted.
• RevenueCat – Subscription management. Only entitlement status is shared, not payment or personal information.
• Supabase – Content delivery (stories, songs). No user personal data is stored.
• Apple App Store – Handles all payments and purchase authorization for family sharing and parental controls.

5. Parental Rights

As a parent or guardian, you have the right to:

• Review any information we may have collected from your child
• Request deletion of any such information
• Refuse further collection or use of your child's information

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect the limited data we process. Content is served over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). We do not store sensitive user data on our servers.

7. Data Retention

Anonymous analytics data is retained for up to 12 months for the purpose of improving the app, after which it is automatically deleted. Since we do not collect personal information from children, there is no personal data to retain or delete.

8. International Users

Taleya is available globally. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), our legal basis for processing anonymous analytics data is our legitimate interest in improving the app. You may contact us at any time to object to this processing.

If you are located in California, this app complies with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as applicable to children's apps.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage parents to review this policy periodically.
